They can be limited by shares or guarantee. They are most commonly used for residential flats but can also be used for commercial or industrial purposes. The Memorandum and Articles of Association provide for the automatic transfer of membership when dwelling or unit holders change. If required we can also provide weighted voting rights in favour of any developers to allow them to retain effective control of the company until every flat or unit is sold. Unless otherwise instructed we are happy to use our own format for the memorandum and articles of association - all you need to do is supply the main 'objects' of the Company. Try to make this as comprehensive as possible but do not worry too much if you feel you have left something out as provision is made in the wording of the memorandum to include areas not specifically mentioned. We are more than happy to assist you with the wording of the main objects clause if required.     FREE COMPANY NAME CHECK Please note that the Companies House main database is available between 7am and midnight, Monday to Saturday UK time.
