Unlimited Company

There is as yet no provision to register 'Unlimited' companies electronically and so applications are filed by post for the time being. This means that a Certificate of Incorporation and all supporting documentation is usually sent out to between 7-10 days

Thus although the company is a separate legal entity, the members' liability resembles that of partners, except that technically their liability is to the company itself and not to the creditors. Unlimited companies are not so popular because of this personal liability. However unlimited companies do have the advantage of greater privacy since by S.241(4) such companies are not required to deliver to the registrar copies of their accounts (unless the company is a subsidiary of, or the holding company of, a limited company)     FREE COMPANY NAME CHECK Please note that the Companies House main database is available between 7am and midnight, Monday to Saturday UK time.
